We are so thankful that you’ve decided to lead a Group at theChapel! The atmosphere that you create will help people connect with each other, and experience the kind of life God created us to live. We’ve created this resource to help you facilitate discussions within your Group.
During Easter weekend, we polled the church, and asked everyone to vote for what topics they’d like to hear about. The message series, “You Voted” consists of the top five responses from that poll. We’ll be walking through this study at the same time the messages are being shared at theChapel. The goal is to hear the message on the weekend, and then extend the conversation with your Group during the week.
Just like when you go to the polls, you’ve got options: Use this guide to start the conversation. Prepare as much or as little as you’d like. Try to not wildly veer off from the content, so we can make sure we stay aligned and on the same page, but feel free to talk about your experiences, and share your stories. That’s what makes it fun. If you’re a little uncomfortable talking in front of the Group, we’ve also provided a video from Pastor Q to help get the conversation started. Whether you choose to play the video in your Group or not, it would be a good refresher for you to watch before you meet.
And remember this is not a debate. The goal is not just to have a discussion on the issues. We want to see action – changes in the way you and I approach our lives and grow in our relationship with God. There’s a section in each week called the MONDAY TEST to help your Group keep an action-oriented approach – applying what is learned, and seeing the benefits of a Godly perspective on the important issues of life.
Here we go! You voted. We answered. It’s time to dig in! Thanks again for leading!
