Prayer

Jesus taught His followers to pray in Matthew 6:5-14. You can get started by praying that same prayer each day.

Prayer is just talking to God. Start by thanking Him for all that He's given you. Then, share where you need His strength and put your situation in His hands.

It’s simple! Prayer doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s a way to help you grow closer to Jesus.

Baptism

Jesus taught His followers to be baptized in Matthew 28:19-20. Baptism is a public way to show that you are choosing to follow Jesus and trust Him with your life.

Baptism doesn’t save you, it’s a response to what Jesus has already done for you. It represents leaving your old life behind and stepping into a new life with Him.

😊 Live knowing that Jesus loves you.

Start to see yourself the way God sees you. This can be difficult because we usually define ourselves by what we have done wrong. But, God loves us because of who He is, not because of who we are. He made you, and He wants you to live free from guilt and doubts about your worth.

✨ Invite Jesus into your everyday life.

Don’t live as though Jesus is just a part of your life. Instead, begin to invite Him to be with you in every interaction, every relationship, even every thought you have throughout the day.

🧱 Build on a solid foundation.

The foundation of anything… a bridge, a building, or your faith… determines the height it can reach. As a believer and follower of Jesus, our foundation is the Bible. Start to read God’s Word. Download the Bible app for your smart device and begin reading in the book of John. It will reveal more of who Jesus really is. Then, read the rest of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke. 🙏 Pray.

Jesus taught His disciples to pray (Matthew 6:5-14). Start each day with this prayer. It's simply conversing with God. Begin with gratitude for life, family, friends, and opportunities. Share your needs, entrusting them to Him. Whatever your situation, learn how to put it in His hands through prayer.
