From the beginning of theChapel, we have made it a priority to seek God first in prayer and fasting. We do this collectively as a church in January through 21 Days of Prayer. This time is intentional, as it is the beginning of a new year and a new season. We know that the order in which we do things matters. The Bible says, “Seek first the kingdom of God”.
Whether it’s with your time at the start of your day or how we give of what we own or earn, order matters. From the first time theChapel doors opened in 2010 we have always given the first part of the year to the Lord through prayer and fasting so that he can bless the rest of the year. Together, we faithfully seek God first, trusting in His power alone to create lasting impact in our lives, our church, and our world. We believe that prayer connects us to God and fasting disconnects us from the world. When we practice them together and we remove some things from our daily life in order to replace them with more intentional time spent with God, we experience His power at another level.
21 Days of Prayer is For You
If you sense God has more for your life or there are things in your life that you are looking for more strength and power to overcome in a godly way, 21 Days of Prayer is a great place to start believing Him for all that He has for you.
Prayer & Fasting
During 21 Days of Prayer, we encourage fasting as a spiritual next step that can impact your relationships, work, family, and every area of your life. You can also choose to fast at other times of the year as you seek God. If you have any questions, click here to email us.
We begin together as a church the weekend of Jan. 11/12, 2020.
Let’s take the time and energy that we spend with something we value and spend it on seeking God instead. Whether it’s food, media or hobbies, the goal is the same, remove it and replace it with more of God. Not sure where to start? Try a Daniel Fast.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, 18, 25 & Feb. 1st, we will pray and worship together.
Let’s get together as a church in the Worship Center of the Tarpon Campus from 8am-9am for prayer and a time of worship. The worship team will lead us in a time of worship, there will be prayer banners that you can read and pray with, you will have an opportunity to pray together as a church and a time where you can pray on your own as well as a time of Communion. You will leave encouraged and empowered for the upcoming week.
Sat./Sun., Feb. 1/2, 2020 • Worship Services
Let’s come together for a great time of music and celebration at either the Tarpon Springs campus and Countryside campus at our regular weekend services, and end the fast together.
